Throughout his life, Andy Warhol owned and loved cats. In 1954 he published a book entitled 25 Cats Name Sam and One Blue Pussy. (Warhol's mother hand lettered the title, and he decided not to add the dropped "d" to "name".) The book consists of cat portraits done with Warhol's blotted ink line technique and colored with ink washes.
This Andy Warhol Cats address book, "So Meow", contains various elemnts from different Warhol drawings and his So book.
A different Warhol cat decorates the tabbed page for each letter or group of letters in the address book's divisions.
