Cherry Blossoms

We all enjoy cherry blossoms and thoughts of spring.

In Japan, cherry blossoms are observed and cherished in a tradition called hanami. In the United States, Sakura Matsuri, the National Cherry Blossom Festival, is celebrated in Washington D.C. late March to early April. Other cherry blossom festivals are held in Honolulu, Macon, Seattle, Pasadena, San Francisco, and Tuscaloosa. New York's Brooklyn Botanic Garden's festival will be sometime in May.
