An attractive portfolio holds 6 cards each of two images of Poppies, Isles of Shoals, an oil painting by American artist Childe Hassam. The 1891 impressionist seascape, now in the National Gallery of Art, Washington, depicts a field of wildflowers in the foreground and the coastline and sailboats in the distance.
The second card shows a detail of the full painting, focusing on red poppies against the color of the ocean below.
The Isles of Shoals, by the way, are about six miles off the coast of New England, and straddle the New Hampshire/Maine border.
