Monet Waterlily Pond Note Cards SKU: 0-7353-0496-3
PRICE: $12.00
Let's face it: Monet painted a lot of paintings of waterlilies. Why? Because, in his own words, "Suddenly I had the revelation of how magical my pond is. I took up my palette. Since that time I have scarcely had any other model."
The four images in Galison's Monet Waterlilies Little Keep It Box are from some of Monet's later paintings. The deep-hued Waterliles of the box cover was painted 1916-1919 and is now in the Musée Marmottan-Claude Monet, Paris, as is the 1917-1919 The Waterlily Pond. The verdant Waterlilies from 1906 is in the Mahmoud Khalil Museum in Cairo. The cerulean Waterlilies at Giverny from 1908 is in the Kunsthaus, Zurich. Take a break from your busy day and enjoy these refreshing little notes!
