Japanese Flowers Note Cards SKU: 0-7353-0467-X
PRICE: $12.00
These truly lovely Japanese Flowers cards are appropriate for every occasion.
Twenty cards reproduce ink and color on silk paintings by an unidentified Japanese artist of the Edo Period (first half of the 19th century) that are part of the Album of Birds and Flowers in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. There are 5 cards each of 4 different flowers: Morning Glories, Irises, Sweet Pea and Valerian, and Lilies.
The attractive box that holds the cards and envelopes features a detail from Morning Glories on the lid, and on the side, a quotation attributed to Abram L. Urban: "My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams." This makes a very nice gift for gardeners, dreamers, and people who write thoughtful notes.
