Winterthur Flowers

The floral designs on this Winterthur Flowers collection of Galison gift items are taken from a book of 145 watercolor designs developed by artists in 1857 for use at the two porcelain factories of Thomas Dimmock & Company in Hanley, England. The beautiful volume is part of the Joseph Downs Collection of Manuscripts and Printed Ephemera in the Winterthur Library, a center for research and study fo the decorative arts.
