Lena Corwin creates textile patterns, writes and publishes books, draws illustrations, and teaches classes. She is drawn to both minimalism and intense color and pattern. She finds inspiration in simple lines, shapes, and textures in her surroundings. Lena began her career designing graphics and patterns for women's clothing companies in New York. She is the author of Printing By Hand and Made By Hand, instructional books for printing techniques and other crafts. Lena also launched a line of children's and women's clothing in 2015 called See Sun. She attributes her love for design to her very artistic upbringing in San Francisco, where she recently returned after almost two decades of living on the east coast.
