Bookmarks: Magnetic, Paper, and Shaped Designs from Galison Artists

Our bookmark collection features the same artists and design sensibility you'll find across the rest of the Galison catalog - just applied to something you can clip into a book. The range covers three main types: magnetic bookmarks that fold over a page, shaped paper bookmarks with die-cut outlines, and reader bookmarks with a built-in magnifying lens.

Magnetic Bookmarks

Magnetic bookmarks are the largest category in this collection. Each one is a folding clip with a magnet inside - you place it over the top of a page, and the magnets hold the two sides together. They stay in place better than a loose paper bookmark and won't slip out when you toss a book into a bag.

Most magnetic sets come in packs of three, each with a different design from the same artist or theme. A few sets include six bookmarks.

For animal lovers, the Cool Cats set has six die-cut cat designs, and Best in Show features six illustrated dogs.

Paper and Shaped Bookmarks

Shaped bookmarks use die-cut outlines that follow the design rather than forming a standard rectangle. The Liberty Artemis and Liberty Oscar's Palace bookmarks are shaped like their respective floral patterns. The Andy Warhol Dollar Bill bookmark is shaped like a banknote with Warhol's artwork printed on it.

Standard paper bookmarks include the World of Mushrooms botanical illustration and the Season's Tweetings festive bird design. The Big Apple bookmark features an illustrated New York City scene.

Reader Bookmarks with Magnifier

The Classic Readers and Cat Eye Readers bookmarks include a built-in magnifying lens These are shaped like vintage eyeglasses frames, and the lens area functions as an actual magnifier. They work as both a page marker and a reading aid for small print.
