Puzzles by Piece Count

Piece count is the most common way to choose a puzzle. Higher counts take longer and use smaller pieces, which increases difficulty. Here's how our range breaks down:

  • 100-piece puzzles: Mini shaped puzzles, greeting card puzzles, and other small-format designs. Most take 30-60 minutes. Good for kids ages 8+, quick adult sessions, and gifts.
  • 300-piece puzzles: Includes lenticular puzzles (3D shifting surface), apartment-style puzzles, and illustrated designs. Expect 1.5-3 hours.
  • 500-piece puzzles: Our second-largest category. A solid single-evening puzzle for most adults. Expect 3-5 hours. Available in standard, foil, double-sided, and family formats.
  • 750-piece puzzles: Every 750-piece puzzle we make is a shaped puzzle with an irregular outline. Expect 5-8 hours.
  • 1000-piece puzzles: Our largest category with over 200 designs. The standard piece count for dedicated adult puzzlers. Expect 8-12 hours across multiple sessions. Available in standard, foil, panoramic, surprise, and square box formats.
  • 1500-piece puzzles: A step up for experienced puzzlers who want a longer project. Limited selection.
  • 2000-piece puzzles: Our largest piece count. A multi-week project that requires significant table space.

Puzzles by Format

Beyond standard rectangular puzzles, we make several specialty formats that change the assembly experience:

  • Foil puzzles: Metallic accents printed onto the piece surface that reflect light and shift at different viewing angles. Available in 500 and 1000-piece sizes, with a few 750-piece shaped foil options.
  • Shaped puzzles: The finished outline follows the image instead of a rectangle - bouquets, buildings, animals, hands, hearts. All our shaped puzzles are 750 pieces.
  • Double-sided puzzles: A different image on each side of every piece. You choose which side to build, or attempt both. Available at 500 and 250 pieces.
  • Panoramic puzzles: Wide horizontal format, all 1000 pieces. The elongated shape works well for cityscapes, garden rows, and sweeping compositions.
  • Wooden puzzles: Thicker wooden pieces with a different feel and fit from standard chipboard. Smaller piece counts with irregular, whimsical piece shapes.
  • Lenticular puzzles: A ridged plastic surface that creates a 3D motion effect. Available at 300 pieces.
  • Surprise puzzles: The box shows only part of the image - the center is hidden until you assemble it. All 1000 pieces.

Puzzles by Theme

We organize puzzles into themed collections so you can browse by subject:

  • Flowers & Nature: Florals, gardens, mushrooms, botanicals, butterflies, succulents
  • Cats & Dogs: Pet portraits, illustrated animal scenes, cats in bookshops and gardens
  • Food & Drink: Culinary scenes, kitchen shelves, market displays
  • Landscapes & Cityscapes: City skylines, countryside views, coastal scenes
  • Winter & Holiday: Christmas villages, snow scenes, holiday markets, festive illustrations
  • Autumn & Halloween: Fall foliage, pumpkin patches, spooky scenes, Day of the Dead
  • Summer: Beaches, outdoor scenes, warm-weather activities

Featured Artists

Every puzzle in this collection features artwork from a named artist or licensed brand. Our most prolific collaborators include:

  • Michael Storrings: Detailed cityscapes and seasonal illustrations - the most represented artist in the catalog
  • Joy Laforme: Layered, color-rich scenes of streets, gardens, villages, and seasonal settings
  • Andy Warhol: Pop art images adapted to puzzle format
  • Frank Lloyd Wright: Architectural patterns and decorative designs
  • Liberty London: Signature fabric prints translated to puzzles
  • Jonathan Adler: Bold geometric and pop-influenced designs

Other frequently featured artists include Wendy Gold, Julie Seabrook Ream, Anne Bentley, Gray Malin, Victoria Ball, Louise Cunningham Starling, and Brass Monkey.

Puzzle Materials and Quality

All standard puzzles use thick chipboard with a linen-style matte finish that reduces glare and resists fingerprints. Pieces have a precision-cut snap fit - they hold together when connected and separate cleanly when pulled apart. Every box includes a full-size reference print of the finished image.

Foil puzzles add a metallic layer integrated into the piece surface. Wooden puzzles use thicker wood pieces with whimsical cuts. Both maintain the same printing and color accuracy as our standard line.

How to Choose the Right Puzzle

If you're not sure where to start:

  • Pick by time. A 500-piece puzzle fits in one evening. A 1000-piece puzzle is a weekend project. A 2000-piece puzzle takes weeks.
  • Pick by interest. Browse the theme collections for subjects that match your taste - animals, florals, cities, food, holiday, or a specific artist.
  • Pick by format. If you've done a lot of standard rectangles, try a shaped, foil, or double-sided puzzle for a different experience.
