Cats & Dogs Puzzles

Cat and Dog Puzzles for Adults: Illustrated Animal Jigsaw Puzzles

Every cat and dog puzzle in this collection uses original illustration rather than photography. You won't find stock pet photos here. The designs range from cats lounging in bookshops and dogs posing in costume to more stylized compositions like cat zodiac charts, space cats, and dogs at work. The illustrated approach means each puzzle doubles as a piece of art you could frame and hang, not just a photograph you assemble and put away.

The collection skews slightly more toward cat designs, but there's a solid dog range as well, plus a handful of puzzles that feature both.

Cat Jigsaw Puzzles

Cat puzzles are the more popular half of this collection, and the variety goes well beyond simple cat portraits.

Scene-based cat puzzles put cats into illustrated environments - bookshops, living rooms, gardens, city streets, and holiday settings. Michael Storrings' Cats in the City places cats throughout a detailed urban scene. Purrfect Nook and Lounging Cats show cats in cozy domestic interiors. Bookshop Cats by Good Puzzle Co. puts them exactly where the title says.

More playful cat designs include A Space Meowdyssey (cats in space suits), Yoga for Cats, Moody Cats by Brass Monkey, and Glamour Cats by Anne Bentley. These lean into humor and personality rather than realistic depiction.

For the holidays, there's Catmas Chaos (a foil puzzle with cats tangled in holiday decorations), Wintry Cats, and Meowy Christmas in both greeting card and advent calendar formats. The Happy Hanukcats greeting card puzzle covers Hanukkah.

The Meowsterpiece series by Susan Herbert reimagines famous paintings with cats replacing the human figures - Birth of Venus and Tribuna of the Uffizi are both available.

Dog Jigsaw Puzzles

Dog puzzles tend toward characterful illustrations with personality-driven subjects.

Michael Storrings' Dog Park in Four Seasons is the flagship dog design - a detailed park scene showing dogs and their owners across all four seasons in a single 1000-piece image. It's also available as a 250-piece wooden puzzle.

Dogs With Jobs, Fashionable Dogs, Boss Dogs, Laundry Dogs, and Lounge Dogs each put dogs into illustrated human scenarios. Dog Gallery shows portrait-style paintings of dogs. Best in Show features prize-winning breeds. Rescue Dogs by Danny & Ron's Rescue depicts rescue dog portraits.

The Paper Dogs 750 Piece Shped Puzzle is one of the more unusual formats - a shaped puzzle where the outline follows a dog silhouette rather than forming a standard rectangle. Find more shaped options in the Shaped Jigsaw Puzzles collection.

Piece Counts and Formats

Most puzzles here are either 500 or 1000 pieces. A few 300-piece options exist (Quite Fetching, Employee of the Month by Brass Monkey), and there's a 750-piece shaped puzzle and a 250-piece wooden puzzle.

Special formats in the collection include:

• Foil - Purrfect Accessories and Catmas Chaos both have metallic accents
• Shaped - Paper Dogs follows a dog-shaped outline
• Wooden - Dog Park in Four Seasons in laser-cut wood with novelty-shaped pieces
• Panoramic - Dog Walk by Hye Jin Chung in a wide horizontal format
• Family puzzles - Caturday Afternoon, Doggone Days, and Boss Dogs use mixed piece sizes for adults and kids to work on together
• Greeting card puzzles - Meowy Christmas, Happy Hanukcats, and Paws for Love as small puzzles packaged as cards

Cat and Dog Puzzles as Gifts

Pet-themed puzzles are one of the most straightforward gift choices in the catalog. If someone has a cat or a dog, you already know the theme. The illustrated styles here mean you're giving them art, not just a puzzle of a random pet photo.

For cat people, the holiday options (Catmas Chaos, Meowy Christmas) work as seasonal gifts. For dog people, Dog Park in Four Seasons is a safe pick because of the variety within the image. The graeeting card puzzles (Paws for Love, Meowy Christmas, Happy Hanukcats) work as small, mailable gifts on their own.
